Catch Up

So I realized that there were two events I never posted about during Helen Claire's tenth week. I think the visit to Children's ER threw me off for the 10 week post!  The weekend of that infamous trip, Maddy came up to meet HC.  This is her trying to wake up for Maddy's visit... she is like her daddy in the morning.  They do NOT like to wake up!

She was so sweet with her, and she was the first little-person face that Helen Claire has seen.  The baby LOVED looking at Maddy and listening to her talk.  I think she was glad to have someone close to her level, and of course, it helped that Maddy dressed in pink :)

Maddy was very loveable towards the baby.  She was overly concerned with her socks, of all things.  She would talk them off and on, off and on and ask us if we thought she was too warm or too cold.  She would rub on her and say, "She is just SO soft."  It was the cutest thing.  Maddy also informed her Uncle Jon-Jon that she needed a baby sister because Bryce and Bailey got to sleep in a room together, and her Mommy and Daddy got to sleep in a room together, but she was the only one by herself, and that was just unfair!

The day after Maddy came up, we finally made it to church for the first time since HC got here- and, it still wasn't easy!  After about 5 minutes in the sanctuary, HC ruined her precious little romper from Mrs. Phoebe.  It was so cute while it lasted, but we ended up watching church from the infant cry room, while Jonathan gave HC a bottle, and she wore a plain old onesie. Oh, well, we tried and God knows our heart, right?
