One of my senior RAs asked me over the weekend if it was weird when Helen Claire started talking, and I told her it's almost like I have two separate children. When I look back at baby pictures, I know that Helen Claire is the same person, but it seems almost like the baby Helen Claire was a totally different person.
I know that sounds weird, and I can't explain it, but I am so thankful for the person she has become. We are planning a beach trip for September, and Helen Claire said she had to go, "because it wouldn't be fun without me." How right she is. Our lives are so much richer, fuller, happier, and more "fun" because of her.
