Happy Halloween

Minnie Mouse came to visit on Halloween!

We had a busy Halloween weekend. It started Friday night with the Fall Festival at Helen Claire's school.

Already getting tired of taking pictures...

We brought her over to my office to get dressed and eat supper in the cafeteria, which was probably her favorite part of the night. Then, we headed over to her school. She had been out of school all week with strep throat, so she was very happy to see her friends and teachers.

We got a picture with one of her teachers from last year, Miss Lindsey...

and a Mickey and Minnie picture! (Her teacher last year is Mrs. Mickey, and yes, that is her real name).

She did the cakewalk, the ring toss, pin the nose on the pumpkin and lots of other games.

Saturday was Homecoming at Samford, so I had to work tailgate. Jonathan was taking the FE, but my mother and sister and brother-in-law were here, so they took Helen Claire around all the Homecoming festivities and tailgated with us.

On Saturday night, we met up with Jonathan and went to Boo at the Zoo. Last year, we loved it and had such a good time. This year, it seemed much more crowded. It was kind of chaotic and definitely not as fun. I felt stressed out and we waited in line more than anything. I think Helen Claire had a good time, and we got some cute pictures. I'm glad we tried it out again, but it will probably be our last year going.

On Sunday, we said goodbye to Mimi, Aunt Vickie and Uncle Chad and relaxed. Then, on Halloween night, we Trick-or-Treated our neighbors and Mrs. Estes. They weren't home, but that was ok. We really just wanted to get some pictures of Helen Claire "Trick-or- Treating." It's funny because she isn't scared of anything, but she would get a little nervous going up to the door and knocking. Jonathan helped her, and she was very brave and finallly did it a couple of times on her own. Then, she was so proud and cheered for herself. So, she probably thinks Trick-or-Treating means you knock on the door and clap for yourself! Oh, well, I'm glad we avoided the huge amounts of candy. She (and her Mommy and Daddy) didn't need it anyway. We were just happy to have a calm night and get good pictures with our little Minnie Mouse!
Minnie Mouse needs her lipstick before she trick-or-treats.

She really wanted Jordan to take the pumpkin.

I love this next little "getting ready to go" series. She is doing her Trick-or-Treat dance.
