First "Nastics" Class

Helen Claire has had a slight obsession with "nastics" (gymnastics) and fwipping (flipping) ever since the Olypmics.  I've been trying to find a gymnastics class for her, but we've been busy with other things.  Since she's been turning flips all over our apartment and furniture, I finally took some time and found a class for her age.

We went yesterday and had such a fun time!  Since it is Halloween week, all the kids wore a costume for the class.  We didn't know about that, but luckily we wore a ballerina outfit since we didn't have a gymnast outfit, and she fit right in.
She was a little shy during the class, which is normal for her, and she was confused about why the other kids didn't stand on the wall in a line and wait their turn.  Thank you Children's Learning Center for teaching her manners and turn-taking.  The class was more free-for-all, and the teacher made rounds at each station to let any of the kids practice that particular skill.

As soon as we left, she signed and asked for "more nastics."  I'm not sure if we will go back to that class, since she would probably do better with a more structured environment, but it was still so much fun to see her light up and love it so much.

Plus, the cute little outfit didn't hurt either :)
